StateFarm, one of the largest insurance providers in the United States, partnered with MetaHorizon to modernize their Identity and Access Management infrastructure across multiple business units serving over 85 million policies.

Challenge

StateFarm faced significant challenges with their legacy IAM systems: fragmented identity management across 20+ business units, inconsistent access policies, manual provisioning processes taking 5-7 days, and compliance risks with SOX and HIPAA regulations. Their existing systems couldn't scale to support 60,000+ employees and thousands of external partners.

Solution

MetaHorizon implemented a comprehensive SailPoint IdentityIQ solution integrated with Azure AD, ServiceNow for automated workflows, and custom connectors for legacy mainframe systems. We deployed role-based access control (RBAC) with 500+ business roles, automated joiner-mover-leaver processes, and implemented continuous access certification campaigns.
